Aroma profile: 

A big favourite! Sweet aromatic soft vanilla - we frequently describe it as a blend of chocolate and vanilla without smelling of either chocolate or vanilla. Soft, delicious, powdery and mellow.  Full-on coumarin.

Blends beautifully with many smells, but our favourites are cinnamon, clove, almond and patchouli.

There is a saying that if you hold a tonka bean in one hand and whisper a secret, when you plant the tonka bean your wish will come true as the tonka plant grows.

It is also used as a food flavouring and we are particularly fond of the tonka bean chocolate slab by Thorntons - it's delicious!

We love it blended with: Amber, coconut, gooseberry, aniseed and hazelnut
